Report a Faulty Street Light

Information on reporting faulty street lights, and how to request a new street light.

Each year the City spends in excess of $1 million on street lighting. Street lighting is provided to the City by Western Power who supply, maintain and upgrade all lights. Western Power however does not guarantee that all lights will be operational every evening.

The Australian Standard for street lighting allows for up to five per cent of lights being non-operational at any time. Under an agreement with the City, Western Power will repair reported street light faults within 10 working days.

The only information Western Power requires is the street and location or number. Every faulty light is a service we are paying for that is not being delivered. Your assistance in keeping our street lights fully functional is appreciated.
