advice or refferal support, why not drop in and:

January School Holiday skate clinic.

If you're looking for something to do head to Melville skate park on Thursday January 12 between 4 - 6pm and get involved in this all ages skate clinic run by Skateboarding WA.  Registrations are essential so head to http://skateboardingwa.com.au/ to find out more and book your spot.

Youth Pitch

Got an Idea? - Want to get it funded?

Are you aged between 12 to 25 and have a great idea? Get together with your mates and start thinking how you would spend a portion of a $4,000 grant to help create a better Melville for young people.

  • An all ages music event?

What's your great idea? Get ready to Pitch your idea in January 2017.

Youth Drop In - @ Willagee Community Centre

Tuesdays and Wednesdays in 2017

A FREE Youth Drop In space for young people aged 9 - 16 years. 

Regular fun stuff:  Wii Sport (New!) Fooseball * Art * Games * Basketball * Outdoor Ping Pong * Dance * Culture * Chill Out * Healthy Snacks

A membership form to be completed by a parent or guardian on the first day of attendace.

Where: Willagee Community Centre, Archibald Street, Willagee
When: Every Tuesday 2.30pm - 4.15pm and/or Every Wednesday 3pm - 4.45pm

Public Transport: Bus No 160 from Booragoon Bus Port or Fremantle Bus Port to Achibald Street, before Winnacott Street. We are located next to the Library and behind the shops. check www.transperth.wa.gov.au for more info.

PHAZE Urban Art Project

If you're into urban art or want to have a go, then sign up for PHAZE where you can work with a professional Artist to get your spray skills out there.  PHAZE happens on the last Sunday* of the month from September to April... all you have to do is register on our PHAZE page or email youth@melville.wa.gov.au.  By registering you can get regular sms reminders before each session.

*the date can change due to weather and public holidays so check the PHAZE page for session details.

Places:

Kaya Lane

Where: Located between the Willagee Library and the Willagee Community Centre, Archibald Street, Willagee.

What: A space for young people and the wider community to play, relax or meet up. It's always open and you can have a game of Ping Pong on the new table. Bats and Balls available from the Library or the Community Centre.

Kaya Lane is also our Youth Drop In outdoor space and our Pop Up Services visit Kaya Lane every Monday morning.

Skate Parks

The City of Melville has skate parks in Bull Creek, Leeming, Melville and a small one at Carawatha Park, Willagee. To find out more on each skate park, visit www.concretedisciples.com/skatepark-directory/australia-skateparks.

We also offer a range of skate clinics and comps facilitated by Skateboarding WA throughout the year. Stay tunes for new dates or for more info head to skateboardingwa.com.au.

Youth Advisory Council (YAC)

  • Do you live or study in the City of Melville?
  • Are you passionate about something?
  • Do you want to meet new friends and be a part of the community?
