Changes at the Libraries

Exciting changes are in store for A H Bracks Library as it undergoes renovations works to upgrade and modernise the library space.

Exciting changes are coming to the A H Bracks Library

A new southern entrance, a suite of meeting rooms, a separate children’s room, a technology lab, retreat room, new furniture and fittings and a more modern look and feel are what’s planned for the A H Bracks Library this year.
To make way for the new-look Library, the A H Bracks Library will be closed from 19 March until September 2018.
While the Library is closed, 
  • A temporary service will operate from the Arts and Crafts Room at Melville Leisure Fit from Monday 19 March from 9.00am – 6.00pm Monday to Friday and 9.00am – 1.00pm Saturdays. 
  • Holds can be collected at the temporary library or another branch library by arrangement.
  • The Canning Bridge Library will be stocked with 4,000 extra items.
  • The Civic Square Library will be open Sundays from 11.00am – 3.00pm from 25 March 2018 until the A H Bracks Library reopens in September. 
  • Additional Storytimes and Baby Rhyme Times will be held at Civic Square and Canning Bridge Libraries.
  • After hours returns are available at Civic Square and Canning Bridge Libraries.
  • The Pop-up Library at the Melville Plaza Shopping Centre will be open from 10.00am – 3.00pm Monday to Friday and Saturdays from 9.00am – 1.00pm where a book swap service is offered.
